This course consists of texts and exercises that
lead students to critical reading and independent thinking.
Knowledge and information are subjects that each has
to study on his/her own. Information in all forms (not the least
manipulation) will be more and more available in the future. Good reading
skills are important to be able to read so well that choosing,
counting, and drawing conclusions become part of your nature. "Simpletons" –
people who cannot judge what they read – are more common today than
ever.
This program includes four different types of
exercises: exaggeration, opinions, ability to spot irrational
statements, and the ability to write an ending to a story and then
compare it to Shipcat's ending.
Exercises can also be performed in groups.
