The script writing team of Shipcat-program carefully considered the requirements set to the contents by today’s information society.

This multimedia can be used without instruction but the exercises become more interesting and challenging when the teacher supplies additional texts.

With the help of Shipcat both student and teacher get versatile experience/exercise in handling and getting data e.g. from the Internet.

Difficulty levels of the texts and exercises vary. Students will start from appropriate levels. More advanced student can perform also the easier tests but may find the more advanced parts to be more fit to his/her goal as a fastreader.

Teacher can import/include suitable readings for any individual student to fit his/her level of understanding and reading.

The program will instruct users when needed but is mainly based on a feature that allows users to surf to any part of the program.
